At this point I don't know WHAT to believe, so I'm asking what you think :)
Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Aerosmith's Steven Tyler has finalized a deal to be a judge on 'American Idol' for next season.
[M]usic industry types I've spoken with stress that performers like Tyler often have a hard time openly criticizing other performers, especially up-and-comers. They find it hard to imagine he'll fill the Simon Cowell "cruel to be kind" role on the show.
As things stand now, Tyler will be joining Jennifer Lopez on American Idol next season. Nigel Lythgoe a few days ago denied unconfirmed reports circulating that J-Lo may lose the job because of diva demands after she was offered the gig and accepted it.
I can't imagine Steven as a judge, but I'm sure he'll be interesting- LOL. He certainly has the experience to be helpful to the contestants.
And according to this report, Jennifer Lopez is still in the mix as a judge. I thought I'd be done with 'American Idol' with no Simon Cowell, but if Steven and Jennifer are judging, I might just have to catch a few episodes.
