Mark Wahlberg Talks About What Scared Him Straight

Mark Wahlberg has quite a past. He told UK's Daily Mail he had a full-blown cocaine habit by the age of 13 and ended up in prison by the time he was 16 after blinding a shop keeper in one eye while serving as the look-out for a robbery. "As soon as I began that life of crime," he says, "there was always a voice in my head telling me I was going to end up in jail. Three of my brothers had done time. My sister went to prison so many times I lost count. "Finally I was there, locked up with the kind of guys I'd always wanted to be like. Now I'd earned my stripes and I was just like them and I realised it wasn't what I wanted at all. I'd ended up in the worst place I could possibly imagine and I never wanted to go back. Mark Wahlberg Kept Crying During The Filming Of 'Lovely Bones'

Mark Wahlberg kept bursting into tears off-set while making ?The Lovely Bones?. The actor found the experience of shooting the film ? about a murdered girl looking down on her family in limbo ? so emotional that it also affected his home life. Mark is ?still learning to juggle? the emotions of his role as Jack Salmon, the father of the murdered girl. ?I would just grab my daughter and hold her, and I would start crying. ?She?d be like, ?Daddy, what?s wrong?? She just wanted to play. ?I would try to talk to her about taking care of herself and not talking to strangers. ?She was three at the time. But, thankfully, I had another movie to go to that helped me get out of that.? It is a moving story isn't it. I can get teary eyed just thinking about it. Mark, 38, also praised his co-star Rachel Weisz for being so in control of her feelings, saying she has an ability ...

Mark Wahlberg Is In The Holiday Spirit

Mark Wahlberg knows how to celebrate Thanksgiving. Mark, along with P. Miller, Reachback LA, and OneMillionGifts.org hosted a Thanksgiving dinner in an area of LA that's known for a lot of gang violence. Mr. Miller says, "This is our third year in this program. It's great for the community. We are able to give the homeless a hot Thanksgiving meal and feed families in need and that are struggling through these tough economic times." Mark Wahlberg says, "Together we can change the world. Today we will experience what Thanksgiving is really all about, being thankful for what we have and sharing it with others in need." Then yesterday, Mark took his family out for some shopping. This guy has really grown up and settled down since his Marky Mark days :) Photos by INF
