Britney Spears' fans are pushing a major Twitter campaign to get the star to appear on Modern Family after the singer mentioned her affinity for the ABC comedy. The hashtag #GetBritneyOnModernFamily trended worldwide yesterday. It started when Brit, who had a cameo on Glee and a guest role on How I Met Your Mother, wrote, "I know everybody is excited about the Super Bowl, but I personally can’t wait to see the next episode of Modern Family! Funniest show on TV." Modern Family star Sofia Vergara retweeted her message. Spears' manager Adam Leber asked fans on the site for their input on a possible Spears cameo: "BritneySpears on Modern Family? What do you guys think?” Twitter users jumped on the bandwagon. The 2002 song has long been rumored to detail the breakdown of the couple’s romance and the video even featured a girl bearing a striking similarity to Spears. Timberlake has always denied the claims, but in an episode of E!'s True Hollywood Story, his friend Timbaland confirms Britney Spears was the inspiration. Justin himself concurred (while still not mentioning his ex by name) that a heated phone conversation between the young lovers prompted "Cry Me a River." Pop star Britney Spears will be a late summer bride, apparently. Fiance Jason Trawick popped the question to Spears just after the end of her world tour and 30th birthday - and just before his 40th birthday - in December. Now the pair is in wedding planning mode, but thinking small. "It's going to be a small event, a very intimate wedding with only immediate family and very, very close friends,” a source close to the situation says. “It will probably be a destination wedding in a very warm, tropical location. There is absolutely no drama with the planning of the wedding," says the source. Newly engaged and settling back into things at home in California with sons Sean Preston, 6, and Jayden James, 5, after her world tour, the 30-year-old star is loving life. “Jayden is having some hair-raising fun on the trampoline!” she wrote Tuesday, sharing a photo of her boys playing together outside on her Facebook page. AWW! On Twitter, Spears also showed off her “little Hercules,” posting a photo (below) of Sean P. flexing his muscles at his gymnastics class. Kid's breaking out the big guns! For all the tumult they went through early on, the boys are happy nowadays, as are their parents.
